Creamy Pesto Alfredo Sauce
Creamy Pesto Alfredo Sauce ¼ of a 6 oz jar of pesto sauce ¼ cup Half and half A dollop of ricotta cheese Shredded Danish Havarti cheese to taste 2 Diced garlic cloves A dash of salt A dash of pepper 1 tsp Italian seasoning ¼ cup butter A splash of balsamic vinegar/olive oil mix In a small sauce pan, cover the bottom with half and half and put the pesto in, stir and let it simmer on medium heat until it starts boiling, then turn it down to low. Add the garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasonings, and butter and let simmer for about 5 minutes. Then add the Cheeses and stir frequently until all the butter and cheese is melted. Take it off the heat and splash the balsamic vinegar/olive oil mix in and stir it around until its all mixed together and let it sit for 2 – 3 more minutes. This is a thick, versatile, sauce that can be poured on pasta, chilled as a salad dressing, or used as a bread dip. |
